Transcription Specialist – Australian English (Remote, Contract)

About the Role

This position seeks a skilled Australian English Language Expert to work remotely on a contract basis. The role involves enhancing machine-generated transcriptions by ensuring accuracy and linguistic precision aligned with Australian English standards. Candidates will also record voice samples and collaborate in improving AI language data with focus on real-world Australian English use.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and correct English transcriptions generated by machines, ensuring high accuracy and adherence to linguistic norms.
• Record own voice reading transcribed passages with clear and natural Australian English pronunciation.
• Assist in the evaluation and refinement of AI language data to authentically represent Australian English expressions and usage.
• Work alongside the client’s teams to offer feedback and insights related to transcription and audio standards.
• Exhibit great attention to detail when assessing texts and audio for errors or inconsistencies.

Candidate Requirements

• Must possess native-level fluency in Australian English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of Australian English phonetics, pronunciation, and diction is essential.
• Experience in transcript correction, with ability to quickly identify and fix mistakes.
• Clear vocal delivery and confident audio recording skills required.
• Ability to work independently in a quiet, focused environment without distractions.

Compensation and Work Commitment

This is a contract role offering a pay range from $15 to $25 per hour. Weekly commitment ranges from 10 to 40 hours and the position is fully remote.
