Role Overview
We seek compassionate and experienced Teletriage Registered Nurses to join our 24/7 support centre in Auckland. You will conduct telephone and messaging-based screenings to evaluate medical and mental health concerns, prioritize urgency, refer appropriately, and ensure critical follow-ups. This position typically requires onsite attendance for most shifts with flexibility for remote work during unsociable hours after initial training and competency validation. You will operate under the guidance of our Medical Director and Clinical Leadership team within a rotating roster covering all hours.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform telephone and chat assessments addressing members’ medical and mental health issues.
- Evaluate urgency of cases to determine suitable referrals across healthcare and emergency services.
- Coordinate appointments and connect members with counselling or partner services as needed.
- Conduct follow-up calls to assess ongoing care needs and promote continuity.
Candidate Profile
- Possess at least four years of nursing experience, ideally with skills in emergency, triage, telehealth, or critical care (ICU).
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Have thorough knowledge of the New Zealand healthcare environment.
- Exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of independent and collaborative work.
- Showcase outstanding communication competencies, both written and verbal.
- Be self-driven, committed to personal growth and performance excellence.
- Be comfortable with technology platforms and eager to engage in professional development.
- Maintain current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council.
