Role Overview
YES BANK is seeking a Team Leader for its Mumbai Metropolitan Region operations. The role focuses on expanding the bank’s multinational enterprise business, strengthening client relationships, and driving growth across assets, liabilities, and new-age business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow the multinational enterprise (MNE) portfolio in Mumbai and actively bring in multinational corporations from Pune as well.
- Deepen relationships with existing clients while continuously looking for ways to increase wallet share.
- Develop and manage strong networks with consultants, lawyers, CA firms, venture capitalists, and private equity players.
- Identify and pursue FDI, FX, and startup-related opportunities within the new economy business segment.
- Use sound knowledge of credit, asset products, and liability products to advise clients on suitable funding options and the best mix of bank solutions.
- Handle deal origination, structure transactions, secure credit approvals, and execute financial solutions for large corporate clients.
- Promote the bank’s wider product suite, including treasury solutions, liabilities, debt capital market offerings, syndications, corporate advisory, investment banking, corporate finance, and knowledge banking.
- Focus primarily on liabilities and transactional banking, while also evaluating lending opportunities where pricing is attractive.
- Track account performance regularly, including financial and business health indicators.
- Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure smooth transaction processing and delivery.
- Coach and support relationship managers to improve productivity and effectiveness.
Process, Policy, and Product Execution
- Identify the right segment focus for escrow products and help drive business growth in that area.
- Improve efficiency across onboarding, documentation, and transaction execution workflows.
- Support digitization of the client journey and process flow.
- Vet agreements in line with applicable laws, FEMA regulations, and the required compliance framework.
Risk and Compliance
- Assess the credit and risk profile of companies and design appropriate financial solutions such as structured finance, project finance, off-balance-sheet finance, and acquisition finance.
- Ensure all processes and products remain compliant with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
- Carry out agreement vetting in accordance with legal and regulatory standards; proven experience in this area is required.
Team Leadership
- Represent the organization’s values and promote a collaborative, innovative culture within the team.
- Build a high-performance environment that encourages continuous learning and development.
- Take part in hiring activities and support retention and engagement efforts for the team.
- Set goals, review performance, appraise team members, and provide ongoing feedback and guidance.
- Coach and develop team members so they can take on larger and more complex responsibilities.
- Assess training needs and recommend suitable learning interventions.
Experience Required
The ideal candidate should have 10 to 14 years of relevant experience in handling escrow products. Prior exposure to sales in trade finance, supply chain management, or closely related areas is preferred.
