Team Leader Operations - Warehouse

Overview

Purplle is seeking a skilled and accountable Team Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations in Kannur. The role involves managing the workflow of picking, packing, sorting, inventory control, and dispatch activities to ensure efficient and timely execution aligned with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse functions such as picking, packing, sorting, receiving, and dispatching goods.
• Ensure orders are processed and dispatched within designated timelines according to service level agreements.
• Supervise warehouse staff including shift scheduling, attendance monitoring, and manpower distribution.
• Track team performance and foster operational discipline throughout the warehouse.
• Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
• Work to reduce stock losses, damages, and minimize operational errors.
• Prepare and maintain proper documentation and daily management information system reports.
• Liaise with HR, operations, vendors, and cluster managers to ensure seamless operations.
• Enforce strict compliance with standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies.
• Manage operational escalations related to manpower and store discipline as they arise.
• Provide support during peak hours and urgent dispatch needs.

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage teams effectively.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams.
• Problem-solving mindset and sound decision-making skills.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications including Excel, warehouse management systems, and reporting tools.
• Ability to perform well under pressure, particularly within fast-paced quick commerce environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree is preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or dark store operations.
• Exposure to e-commerce or quick commerce industries is advantageous.
• Experience managing third-party manpower vendors is a plus.
