Role overview

As System Owner, you will join the Employee Technology team and share responsibility for Benifex’s internal systems with another colleague. Your focus will be system inventory management, intake and approval for new systems, integration oversight, and lifecycle administration. You will also help define strategic process and workflow questions, ensuring the organisation gets the maximum value from its tools.

You will work with colleagues across the business to help them use internal systems in a smarter and more effective way. That includes guiding best practice, supporting configuration needs, and improving operational workflows. In partnership with the other System Owner, you will also own the Atlassian suite end to end, making sure Jira, Confluence and JSM are used effectively across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple departments to make sure their system requirements are met.
  • Maintain and evolve the system inventory and lifecycle management approach.
  • Offer specialist advice on system-related issues and decisions.
  • Help teams improve productivity by choosing the right systems and processes.
  • Weigh local team needs against organisation-wide requirements for operations, security and data protection.
  • Promote automation and integrations that reduce manual work.
  • Serve as a dependable advisor for internal system stakeholders.
  • Design, improve and oversee internal system processes.
  • Own the Atlassian suite and ensure it is used to a high standard across the business.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience running projects from requirement discovery through to system setup, with strong self-direction.
  • Deep knowledge of Atlassian tools, especially Jira Service Management, Confluence and Jira.
  • Practical experience administering Atlassian platforms, including creating Confluence spaces, building JSM support portals, and configuring Jira and JSM projects.
  • Good technical understanding of systems, integrations and the issues that can arise around them.
