The company supports 750 protected workplaces and plans to expand this to 10,000 by 2035.

Role Overview

The Supply Chain Manager is a crucial part of the Operations division, responsible for overseeing the demand planning, inventory control, procurement, and order fulfillment processes from purchase order to dispatch. This role demands seamless coordination of shipments to prevent delays or excess stock, managing both the Indian and UAE entities.

Key Duties

• Implement and lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process within the first two months, focusing on demand forecasting, stock management, and replenishment strategies.
• Maintain inventory levels for fast-moving products within defined policy parameters to ensure high forecast accuracy, minimum stockouts, and optimal inventory turnover.
• Manage inbound operations directly, handling Bill of Entry documentation, customs clearances, Customs House Agent coordination, and incoming freight from global suppliers.
• Oversee supplier performance for strategic international vendors, ensuring on-time and complete inbound deliveries with a proactive follow-up schedule.
• Ensure timely dispatch of shipments from Kolkata and Bhiwadi, including comprehensive export documentation such as Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Letters of Credit/Telegraphic Transfer, and packing lists, aiming for zero rejection rates.
• Drive cost reduction efforts on landed costs by negotiating freight and vendor costs against engineering should-cost targets.
• Establish robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that allow the processes to be sustained by others, leveraging ERP or Zoho-class systems and dashboards for operational discipline.
• Lead, mentor, and grow the existing supply chain team responsible for both inbound and outbound operations.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 6 years experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years accountable for demand planning or managing the S&OP cycle independently, including responsibility for forecast accuracy and inventory levels.
• Hands-on management of import operations including Bill of Entry, customs clearance, CHA coordination, and inbound freight, as well as export operations involving shipping documentation for named routes and ports, all within the past 3 years.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor and freight cost negotiation, with specific results on named routes and percentage cost savings achieved.
• Proficiency in ERP or Zoho-like systems, capable of creating enduring SOPs to institutionalize best practices.
• Experience in industries requiring certified products or strict quality controls is highly valued.
