Structural Metal and Platework Fabricator

Overview

This role involves fabricating structural metal and plate components, working extensively with heavy-duty metal-working machines to assemble, fit, weld, and install metal parts to create durable structures.

Languages

English proficient for clear communication within the workplace.

Education

• Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

Applicants should have between two and three years of relevant experience in metal fabrication or a similar field.

Work Location and Conditions

This position requires on-site presence at the physical work location with no remote work options available. The job entails physically demanding tasks involving a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Key Responsibilities

• Lay out reference points and templates for metalwork.
• Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structural components.
• Join metal sections by welding or bolting them together securely.
• Set up and operate machinery designed for heavy metal working.
• Construct patterns and templates necessary for fabrication.
• Install fabricated items into the final products.
• Rig, hoist, and transfer materials within the worksite or to storage locations.
