Overview

We are searching for enthusiastic and skilled professionals to become part of our Procurement team. Candidates with experience in Facilities Management, Facilities Services, or Facilities Procurement will have a significant advantage. This role is available to applicants based near Bray or Waterford in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analyze supplier expenditures within assigned regions, categories, or commodities, collaborating closely with Global Category leaders to devise and execute Global and Regional Category Strategies, supplier segmentation, and supplier rationalization; ensure all suppliers are vetted and purchasing activities are managed through standardized contracts.
• Assist in the creation, execution, and assessment of commodity-specific strategies that fulfill the requirements of various Business Sectors, Business Units, and Corporate objectives, including commodity strategies, supply base development, global infrastructure, and price management.
• Exhibit expert knowledge in assigned commodities and comply with global commodity frameworks aligned with Jabil's business growth ambitions.
• Take the lead in managing classifications of indirect materials, analyzing technical specifications, and driving standardization initiatives.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies with the goal of renegotiating supplier agreements on a regular basis.
• Design and deploy implementation strategies and communication plans within the team and among stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue supplier consolidation opportunities to optimize spend management.
• Expand and enhance the supplier base to align with Jabil’s and the supply chain team's goals and objectives.
• Ensure suppliers adhere to Jabil’s corporate social responsibility standards, covering environmental, ethical, legal, and regulatory compliance.
• Promote Jabil’s supply chain management expertise inside and outside the company.
• Negotiate supplier contracts effectively, aiming for the best pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Analyze regional market trends and adapt supply chain strategies to achieve competitive pricing and supply security.
• Lead initiatives to maximize purchasing leverage for optimal total cost of ownership.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure Global Indirect Procurement involvement in new business ventures.
• Drive continuous improvements supported by trend analysis and metrics management.
• Introduce innovative ideas and processes to advance Jabil’s supply chain objectives and performance.
• Establish and pursue annual goals to surpass supply chain performance targets.
• Demonstrate dedication to customer service by promptly resolving issues and prioritizing customer needs.
• Facilitate effective knowledge sharing across the Jabil organization to promote best practices.
• Adhere to company security policies and perform additional duties as necessary.

Management

This role typically reports into Supply Chain Management with direct supervisors including Regional Indirect Category Leads or Commodity Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Materials or Logistics Management, or a related field.
• Preferred experience: 3-5 years in manufacturing and indirect materials planning and sourcing.
• Certifications such as APICS or NAPM are advantageous.
• Capability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
