Sourcing Recruiter - Talent Acquisition

Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an innovative and customer-centric Recruiter to join its Talent Acquisition team in Australia. This role involves partnering with hiring managers across diverse positions to attract, engage, and assess exceptional candidates. The position is a 12-month fixed term requiring full-time in-office attendance at the Sydney or Melbourne CBD office.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate deeply with business leaders to gain comprehensive understanding of job roles and craft targeted recruitment strategies.
• Develop and sustain a network of qualified candidates through proactive market research and relationship management, focusing on cultural fit and candidate motivation beyond just filling roles.
• Effectively utilize diverse sourcing channels including employee referrals, internal CRM systems, career portals, and job fairs.
• Provide expert insights on talent market trends and propose innovative ideas to enhance long-term talent acquisition efforts.
• Refine and implement recruitment processes supporting Amazon's commitment to delivering superior hiring outcomes.
• Actively participate in recruitment activities, emphasizing candidate skill assessment to maintain high hiring standards.
• Manage recruitment-related data meticulously to enable data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
• Promote continuous improvement by educating hiring managers and interviewers on recruitment best practices and interview techniques.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in technical recruitment within fast-paced, high-volume, high-quality hiring environments.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing searches and client relationships efficiently.
• Demonstrated creativity in sourcing methods with capability to proactively network and develop an active candidate pipeline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in designing, measuring, and optimizing workflows among candidates, hiring managers, and recruitment teams.
• Strong consulting skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
• Experience recruiting candidates meeting stringent security requirements or familiarity with the defense talent landscape is advantageous.
