Shift Manager

About the Role

This position is within a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee using McDonald's branding and products. The franchisee is a distinct employer from McDonald's USA and handles all employment aspects independently, including hiring, supervision, and staffing decisions.

As a Shift Manager, you will lead the team during your shift to guarantee customers receive prompt, accurate, and friendly service while maintaining high standards in quality, service, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to ensure quality food production and exceptional customer service.
• Plan and monitor shift performance, taking corrective action as needed to meet standards.
• Manage inventory, food safety protocols, and maintain cleanliness and daily maintenance tasks.
• Oversee crew management including scheduling, training, and supervision to achieve departmental goals.
• Ensure safety, security, and profitability during shifts.
• Facilitate effective communication with upcoming shift managers for smooth transitions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in leadership roles preferred, especially in restaurant, retail, or hospitality sectors.
• Positive attitude and ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for the shift manager role in corporate restaurants.
