Job Overview
The Division of Clinical Support Services at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is looking for an enthusiastic Service Transformation Manager to join their senior leadership team. This role involves providing expert service planning support within the Clinical Support Services Division, collaborating closely with senior management to develop and implement service plans, strategies, and innovative service models that balance clinical effectiveness, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery and development of divisional service plans targeted at enhancing service provision throughout the integrated health system.
- Act as a senior manager within the Clinical Support Services Division team, partnering with divisional directors, general and assistant general managers, senior management, and clinical staff.
- Offer proactive, technical service planning advice and sustain best practices in service development approaches.
- Apply knowledge of service planning theories and improvement methodologies, including benefits planning, to support strategic and operational management and reporting requirements for the Health Board and Welsh Government.
- Lead projects focused on new service models, financial savings, and implementation of strategic plans for Clinical Support Services.
- Prepare detailed plans, progress reports, and updates for divisional and executive management teams.
- Provide direct management support and deputise for senior leaders as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Expertise in capacity and demand management and service planning.
- Proven track record of meeting targets and objectives under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Previous senior-level NHS experience with complex service planning in health or social care sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in building, motivating, and developing teams.
- Masters level qualification or equivalent work experience.
- Project management qualification or demonstrable experience.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
