About Avista and the Role
Avista is a vibrant organization offering clinical and residential support services tailored to children with complex disabilities and their families. This opportunity is for an experienced Senior Psychologist to become part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary CAMHS-ID team, focusing on children and adolescents facing moderate to severe/profound intellectual disabilities alongside mental health support requirements.
Position Details
This permanent part-time role involves 35 hours of work each week in Dublin and offers an annual salary between €100,483 and €118,111, subject to public sector experience and prorated for part-time hours.
Qualifications and Experience
- A recognised university degree or diploma with first or second class honours majoring in Psychology.
- A postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology validated by the Department of Health.
- Minimum five years of professional experience post-graduation, including at least two years full-time post-qualification psychology practice.
- Expertise and interest in working with children and young people who have intellectual disabilities and mental health needs.
- Applicants with foreign qualifications must provide official validation from the Department of Health.
- Possession of a full clean driving license and access to a car.
- Proficiency in English language communication.
