Role Summary

We are expanding our reach in the Hamilton and Waikato areas and invite applications for a Senior Project Manager. Based in Hamilton, you will collaborate with our Tauranga office and national team to lead projects from initial planning to completion, ensuring projects meet schedules, budgets, safety, and client satisfaction standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee construction and infrastructure projects at all delivery stages.
• Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and performance reports.
• Manage coordination among consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while capitalizing on opportunities.
• Ensure clear communication among all project parties.
• Deliver projects safely, effectively, and to the expectations of clients.
• Contribute to the growth of Kensway’s presence in the Waikato region.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced project management professional who thrives on collaborating with teams and taking full ownership of project results. Key attributes and qualifications include:

• Demonstrated success in managing projects within construction, property, or infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
• Experience in leading design teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Strong capability in programme and budget management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive, client-oriented mindset.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications such as Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or allied fields.
