Role Overview

The Search team manages the search experience crucial to eBay's core marketplace. We aim to create a seamless and trusted search environment that enables users to easily find and purchase items with confidence and competitive value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of product strategies and roadmaps to stimulate growth via Search.
• Analyze multiple data sources including analytics, user insights, marketing, and design inputs to uncover customer needs and craft impactful product visions leveraging search item tiles.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as engineering, design, analytics, product marketing, and user research to bring products to life.
• Oversee roadmap delivery working closely with data science, engineering, and analytics domains.
• Develop minimum viable products (MVPs), rapidly iterate, and spearhead excellence in execution.
• Design and analyze A/B tests for new feature launches, measuring their impact through robust metrics.

Candidate Profile

• Possess more than seven years of experience in product management.
• Expertise in search and discovery technologies, including knowledge of ranking models, search algorithms, and semantic search.
• Skilled in personalization and recommendation systems, preferably with real-time data integration.
• Strong analytical capabilities to synthesize complex data from diverse sources.
• A passionate advocate for superior user experiences achieved within demanding constraints.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, self-driven mindset, and a high capacity for rapid innovation.

Additional Information

The base salary for this role is anticipated to fall between CAD 133,200 and CAD 177,800 per year, with variations based on location, skills, and experience. Compensation may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, and comprehensive benefit plans including RRSP eligibility and paid time off options such as parental leave.
