About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior IT Specialist to strengthen our IT team by ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of the corporate IT infrastructure spanning the head office and multiple plants/sites. This position demands deep proficiency in Fortinet FortiGate systems, enterprise networking, infrastructure upkeep, and user support, as well as serving as the chief technical resource for challenging infrastructure and security issues.

Primary Duties

Plan, set up, and manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPNs, High Availability, and SD-WAN features.
Oversee network security tools like IPS, web filtering, application control, SSL inspection, and manage bandwidth effectively.
Track firewall performance, internet usage, and mixed network health to guarantee peak availability and security.
Maintain LAN/WAN systems, encompassing switches, routers, wireless, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and WAN connectivity.
Configure site-to-site and remote VPNs to support secure communications.
Administer server environments, virtualization platforms, backup systems, Active Directory/Entra ID, and endpoint protection.
Deliver expert-level IT infrastructure support and manage escalations for complex issues.
Facilitate new site rollouts, unify infrastructure across all locations, and collaborate with ISPs and technology partners.
Ensure adherence to cybersecurity protocols and maintain thorough infrastructure documentation.
Provide guidance to junior IT staff and take part in infrastructure enhancements and IT project initiatives.

Qualifications & Expertise

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering or related disciplines.
At least 6 years of professional experience managing IT infrastructure and support functions.
Minimum 4 years of practical experience administering Fortinet FortiGate firewalls in multi-site environments.
Solid knowledge of firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, LAN/WAN technologies, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and network security practices.
Experience supporting widespread or industrial/manufacturing sites is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with effective problem resolution capabilities.

Preferred Credentials

Fortinet NSE 4 certification is required or highly preferred; NSE 5/7 certifications are a plus.
Familiarity with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAP, and SD-WAN solutions.
Knowledge of ITIL framework and ITSM tools usage.
Additional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Security+ enhance candidacy.
