Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Estimator to join our team immediately. The role involves thorough review of tender requests and associated documentation, alongside the preparation of prompt and accurate tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily operations within the Estimating Division.
• Handle and assess tender requests thoroughly.
• Analyze technical drawings, project scopes, and specifications in detail.
• Complete plan take-offs, bills of quantities, and maintain project cost spreadsheets accurately.
• Manage supplier relations including qualification and pricing coordination.
• Communicate and liaise effectively with clients, managing their expectations.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of tender documents.
• Coordinate with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Propose improvements and support Senior Management in enhancing divisional and organizational processes and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain business estimating templates and databases.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all departmental issues.
• Report promptly to the Senior Leadership Team concerning any challenges or concerns.
• Directly report to the General Manager.

Experience and Skills

• Preferably possess tertiary qualifications.
• At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role, especially in Construction, Civil, or Landscaping Estimating.
• Strong technical familiarity with landscape and/or civil construction methods and materials.
• Proficient and confident in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PDF, and Project.
• Have reliable transportation available.
• Hold a valid Workcover White Card.
• Fluent in both written and verbal English communication.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
