Senior Data Governance & Enablement Analyst

Overview

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is hiring a Senior Data Governance & Enablement Analyst to join its Data Centre of Excellence in Auckland. This role is focused on improving how the organisation defines, governs, trusts, and uses data so teams can make better decisions with greater consistency.

About the team

You will be part of the company’s central data and analytics function. The team sets standards for how data and analytics work across the business, supports teams with guidance and training, and builds the foundations that help create reliable, consistent information across the organisation.

What the role involves

This position brings together governance, enablement, and technical data expertise. You will work with business, analytics, and technology teams to clarify data definitions, align reporting logic, address inconsistencies, and strengthen governance practices around data and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Lead conversations that bring agreement on important data concepts, fields, and metrics.
• Work through differences in definitions, business logic, and how data is used across teams.
• Build and support governance frameworks, standards, and policies.
• Help create trusted reporting and data-quality assets that support sound business decisions.
• Develop tools and materials to track data quality and compliance with internal standards.
• Support governance for data and AI, including guidance for safe and responsible use.
• Produce clear documentation such as user guides, FAQs, and training resources.
• Design and run training that improves data literacy, AI literacy, and adoption of AI tools.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, analysts, engineers, and technology teams.
• Translate reporting and analytics needs into clear data requirements, definitions, and governance expectations.
• Help build data practices that are consistent, dependable, and easy to trust.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical data background and experience working across enterprise data environments. They should be comfortable discussing reporting logic, data quality, and governance with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
