Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Senior Associate in Security is responsible for overseeing security operations within community premises, ensuring adherence to internal policies and local regulations. Key duties include monitoring and controlling access, conducting regular patrols to deter and report suspicious activity, and operating various security systems like CCTV, alarms, and access control platforms.
They must respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, coordinating with relevant local authorities such as police and civil defense. The role involves performing initial investigations and preparing thorough incident reports.
Compliance and Safety
Ensuring compliance with UAE laws, Abu Dhabi regulations, and civil defense safety standards is a critical part of this role. The associate supports the implementation of emergency response plans, evacuation drills, and fire safety procedures. They also assist in internal and external security audits, inspections, and risk evaluations.
Administrative and Management Duties
The position requires maintaining detailed daily logs, incident reports, and shift handover records. Identifying security risks and escalating recurring issues to management with recommendations is essential. Confidentiality of security-related information must be rigorously maintained. Monitoring the performance of security service providers, analyzing incident trends, and providing management updates are also key responsibilities. Staying informed on the latest security regulations and international best practices is expected.
Qualifications and Experience
Preferred educational qualifications include a diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, security, safety, or related disciplines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills for reporting and system operation are required, along with working knowledge of security systems and safety procedures.
The candidate should possess 5 to 8 years of experience in community management, particularly within mixed-use or large-scale developments. Previous senior, leadership, or supervisory roles in security are advantageous. A strong grasp of community living concepts, owner association management, and relevant real estate regulations locally and internationally is necessary. Proven ability in strategic planning, budget and financial management, and leading sizable teams for operational excellence is critical. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are expected, alongside familiarity with community management in Abu Dhabi or Dubai and a good understanding of local security regulations.
