Overview
Mancon Inc. is seeking a Security Specialist to enhance safety and security for warehouse and distribution activities. This role is critical in protecting personnel, facilities, operations, and sensitive information within a high-priority Government logistics environment. The successful candidate will bring expert analytical capabilities, a strong security compliance background, and a collaborative approach to uphold operational security, awareness, and compliance in a fast-paced distribution setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess, develop, and guide the implementation of policies, standards, procedures, training, and methods to safeguard classified data, personnel, property, and operations from unauthorized access, theft, espionage, sabotage, and other threats.
- Lead program deployment and evaluation, identify security issues, and provide expert counsel to leadership regarding Physical Security, Operational Security (OPSEC), and Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) strategies and actions.
- Oversee and operate security systems, policies, protocols, and methods that protect sensitive information, assets, personnel, and operational activities.
- Enforce procedures for vetting and assessing employee backgrounds and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive materials and work areas.
- Coordinate and ensure mandatory security training for new hires and refreshers for all employees are completed timely.
Qualifications
- At least three years of recent experience within the last five years in Physical Security, OPSEC, and Antiterrorism/Force Protection roles.
- Possession of an active Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Capability to obtain and maintain certification for forklift operation.
Physical and Essential Requirements
- Must be capable of medium work activities including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
- Physical abilities required include driving, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking.
