Security Apps Lead

About the Role

This developing management position is responsible for operational leadership of the organization's information security programs, playing a critical role in executing security strategy, governance, policies, and practices to ensure secure and scalable business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of enterprise-wide information security strategies aligned with business goals.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards that conform to industry best practices and regulatory mandates.
• Coordinate identification, evaluation, and management of security risks covering data, systems, networks, and third-party vendors.
• Drive security awareness initiatives through employee training, education, and communication campaigns.
• Manage execution of incident response plans to promptly contain and mitigate security events.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable security regulations, standards, and laws.
• Support evaluation and selection of security technologies to protect digital assets effectively.
• Deploy security monitoring solutions, generating reports for senior leadership and stakeholders on security status and threats.
• Stay abreast of evolving security threats and industry developments to continuously enhance security posture.
• Communicate security incidents and remedial actions clearly to relevant parties.
• Oversee internal and external security audits and assessments.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the information security team to ensure strict adherence to policies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, computer science, information technology, or related fields.
• Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH.
• Substantial experience in risk management, information security, and IT roles within global organizations.
• Experience managing vendor contracts and negotiations.
• Proficiency with Agile or similar software development methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud and elastic computing environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, EU GDPR, CCPA, and PCI DSS.
• Demonstrated expertise in information security management, business risk, IT risk and continuity management, IT governance, organizational change, financial management, and IT audit.

Desired Skills and Attributes

• Strong knowledge of security standards and frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
• In-depth familiarity with security technologies and tools.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
