About the Role
Join a global financial leader in their Dublin office as a Secure Room Clerk within the Issuer Services Operation team. This role focuses on the secure management, reconciliation, and destruction of physical financial instruments such as Certificates of Deposit, Bonds, and Warrants. You will operate within a highly secure environment ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations while prioritizing precision and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard physical certificates by printing, authenticating, and filing them accurately with all necessary documentation.
- Execute daily destruction of financial instruments following debt obligation termination, ensuring compliance with disposal authority procedures.
- Conduct reconciliations between physical records and internal books twice yearly to meet Client Asset Regulatory requirements, including controlled entry of inventory details.
- Perform operational activities involving procedure administration, data analysis, and report generation aimed at process improvement.
- Mitigate risks by monitoring errors, proposing solutions for error reduction, and strictly adhering to audit and control policies.
- Identify gaps in policies and suggest enhancements to streamline securities and derivative settlement workflows.
- Analyze and monitor processes and data ensuring accuracy and quality of settlements.
- Uphold regulatory and ethical standards by evaluating risks, ensuring compliance with laws and policies, acting with transparency in control issues, and protecting the organization's integrity and assets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous relevant experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of securities activities, procedures, and policies is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with clarity and conciseness.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
