Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile project management activities at our client location in New York. The candidate must have a strong grasp of Professional Scrum Master (PSM) II principles and will be responsible for facilitating Agile processes, enabling team collaboration, and driving the success of projects. This role demands a proactive leader adept at managing complex project landscapes and continuously improving team workflows.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews, and retro sessions.
- Coach and guide teams on Agile methodologies and ensure compliance with Scrum practices.
- Work closely with product owners to maintain and prioritize the product backlog, aligning with project objectives.
- Identify obstacles impeding team progress and work to eliminate them to create a productive environment.
- Track team performance and provide constructive feedback to boost productivity and quality of outputs.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by promoting experimentation and learning within the team.
- Report project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders effectively.
- Mentor team members and foster collaboration to build high-performing teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Professional Scrum Master (PSM) II guidelines and Agile practices.
- Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach Scrum teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills capable of influencing stakeholders at various levels.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude to handle complex project challenges.
- Experience managing project schedules, deliverables, and team dynamics efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related discipline.
- Mandatory possession of Professional Scrum Master (PSM) II certification.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Expertise
- Knowledge of additional Agile frameworks like Kanban or Lean.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Jira or Trello.
- Understanding of software development methodologies and processes.
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
