About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned SAS Administrator with 8 to 10 years of experience to oversee the configuration, maintenance, and support of SAS environments in both development and production settings. The position is located in Bangalore or Chennai and requires expertise strictly in SAS Administration (applications from SAS Developers will not be considered).
Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAS systems.
- Administer users, roles, permissions, and ensure system security compliance.
- Provide ongoing support for SAS Visual Analytics, Management Console, Data Integration Studio, and Viya platforms.
- Monitor system performance and resolve production issues efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining ETL processes and data integration workflows.
- Automate repetitive tasks and improve pipeline efficiencies.
- Develop and support analytical dashboards and reports using SAS Visual Analytics and Power BI.
- Conduct root cause analyses, maintain documentation, and uphold data governance standards.
Required Skills
- Proficient with SAS Base and SAS Macro programming.
- Hands-on knowledge of SAS DI Studio and SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Experience with SAS Visual Analytics and SAS Management Console.
- Understanding of SAS Viya platform.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, DB2, and SQL Server databases.
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse analytics.
- Experience with batch scheduling tools like Control-M and job control language (JCL).
- Version control using Git.
- Ability to work with Power BI for dashboarding.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Understanding of DevOps practices along with tools like Jira and Confluence.
Additional Information
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities are highly desired for this role. The candidate should have a strong track record in SAS administration, production support, and problem resolution.
