SAP HCM Testing Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned SAP HCM Testing Consultant experienced in evaluating and validating SAP HCM solutions, especially focusing on Time Management and Payroll modules. The Consultant will engage closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust system performance through rigorous testing and defect management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive testing within the SAP HCM domain, with 6-10 years of practical experience focusing on Time Management and Payroll modules.
• Utilize and manage defect tracking and project workflows using tools such as JIRA, operating within Agile delivery frameworks.
• Perform thorough testing on complex custom PCRs, schema changes, and alterations to time/payroll rules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Execute testing on custom ABAP reports and objects within the SAP HCM technical environment.
• Develop, build, and maintain automated test scripts independently using SAP test automation tools like TOSCA or their equivalents.
• Possess a deep understanding of retroactive payroll processing and its impact on testing strategies.
• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) cycles and assist User Acceptance Testing (UAT), managing defects and conducting retests to validate fixes.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of standard SAP HCM testing concepts such as Positive Functional Tests, Retroactive Accounting Checks, and Personnel Subgroup Variant.
• Communicate effectively with functional, technical, and business teams to ensure testing objectives align with organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with S/4HANA HCM environments.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in testing Fiori/OData components.
• Familiarity testing SAP HCM integrations with third-party platforms, such as ServiceNow.
• Understanding of collective agreement-driven configurations, including union and non-union employee groups.
• Possession of SAP HCM functional certification is advantageous.
