SAP ABAP Developer for HANA with E1TA and OData Expertise

About the Role

The opportunity is for an SAP ABAP professional skilled in HANA technologies, E1TA, and OData development. This position involves designing, building, testing, and supporting SAP ABAP applications within various SAP environments and locations, with the initial interview conducted virtually.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and provide support for SAP ABAP applications throughout SAP systems.
• Create and improve reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows (collectively known as RICEFW objects).
• Develop and fine-tune SAP HANA specific solutions like CDS Views and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).
• Develop OData services using SAP Gateway technology.
• Engage in enterprise-level integration projects, including interface development aligned with E1TA and other enterprise application integrations.
• Build custom APIs and facilitate integration between SAP and external software systems.
• Execute technical design reviews, perform code audits, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Translate business requirements to technical specifications and solutions.
• Monitor and enhance system performance while ensuring compliance with SAP programming standards.
• Provide production support by addressing and resolving critical issues promptly.
• Work collaboratively with functional consultants, solution architects, and business partners to achieve project goals.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficient in SAP ABAP development including Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, and Conversions.
• Experience in both classical and interactive reporting techniques, including ALV Reports.
• Hands-on knowledge of BDC, BAPI, RFC, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.
• Expertise with User Exits, BADIs, and the Enhancement Framework.
• Strong familiarity with ABAP on HANA including CDS Views, AMDP, and performance optimization techniques.
• Understanding of Data Modeling principles relevant to HANA.
• Experience in OData service development using SAP Gateway, RESTful service creation, API development, and integration with Fiori applications.
• Exposure to Enterprise Integration technologies such as IDocs, ALE/EDI Interfaces, SAP PI/PO or CPI systems, as well as monitoring and troubleshooting integration scenarios.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
• Involvement with SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Workflow processes.
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
• Familiarity with RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).

This position is open across several cities including Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Mumbai. A virtual interview is scheduled for July 30th.
