Sanitation Technician

Job Overview

The Sanitation Technician is dedicated to upholding cleanliness and safety standards throughout the facility and warehouse. This role follows established Preferred Work Methods to ensure consistent sanitation excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Clear all trash and debris from warehouse and dock zones.
• Address and clean any spills involving products or foreign substances promptly.
• Operate cleaning machinery including power scrubbers, sweepers, and walk-behind scrubbers.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse infrastructure such as walls, floors, racks, and doors.
• Sanitize the exterior premises including building grounds, lighting installations, and parking areas.
• Disinfect restrooms, office spaces, break rooms, and locker rooms to maintain hygiene.
• Follow a daily cleaning schedule as directed by supervisory staff to maintain uninterrupted sanitation cycles.
• Ensure the warehouse environment remains safe and clean for ongoing operations.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or an equivalent certification.
• Prior experience in warehouse sanitation is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• This role requires frequent communication, hand dexterity for tool handling, and physical actions including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• The ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds is mandatory.
• Vision capabilities must include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
