Overview

This position leads the integrated commercial strategy and execution for the Immunology Therapeutic Area (TA), aiming to maximize both patient and customer impact while driving sustained business growth. The role handles the TA and brand strategy, formulates the go-to-market approach, directs omnichannel customer engagement, and ensures flawless sales execution. It also holds accountability for launch readiness, monitoring post-launch success, forecasting accuracy, resource prioritization, and strict budget management. Building and nurturing high-performing teams in a culture of integrity and continuous improvement is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize the TA and brand strategies, including the One Brand Plan across the product lifecycle, setting definitive strategic goals with measurable results.
  • Establish and evolve the TA go-to-market framework driven by insights from customers, patients, competitors, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with international and regional teams for campaign knowledge exchange, corrective actions, and future planning.
  • Design an integrated omnichannel customer engagement plan to optimize reach, relevance, and impact.
  • Convert strategies into concrete brand and tactical plans with defined KPIs and resource distribution.
  • Lead forecasting, demand estimation, and performance planning to prioritize initiatives and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure financial stewardship of the TA by managing budgets and making informed trade-offs.
  • Drive sales planning including territory structuring, targeting, incentive design, and call planning.
  • Manage performance through regular business reviews, coaching sessions, and KPI-based corrective measures.
  • Gather and analyze in-field insights to continuously adapt customer engagement and brand strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams aligning strategy, evidence, value, and execution efforts.
  • Guarantee launch preparedness and excellence across materials, capabilities, and field operations.
  • Uphold integrity and compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
  • Build and develop a high-performing commercial team focusing on talent growth and succession.

Performance Metrics

  • Achievement of TA sales, market share, and growth targets relative to plans; financial profitability and P&L goals where applicable.
  • Timely and quality launch readiness and performance.
  • Effective implementation of the One Brand Plan and field activities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A university degree in Business, Life Sciences, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
  • An advanced marketing credential (MBA or postgraduate qualification) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated commercial leadership with proven success in sales and marketing within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare sectors.
  • A strong record of driving sustainable growth throughout the full brand lifecycle.
  • Experience in designing go-to-market models and omnichannel customer engagement strategies.
  • Proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, and strategic business planning.
  • Experience in people management, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Advanced analytical skills leveraging data-driven and AI-supported commercial decision making.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership capabilities paired with a customer-focused and ethical approach.

Additional Information

The role involves managing a team of about seven associates, depending on the TA footprint, product range, and country specifics. Financial responsibility includes overseeing approximately USD 50 million in commercial performance and planning. The candidate will interact extensively with internal departments such as Sales, Medical, Finance, and Supply Chain, and externally with key accounts, healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and patient organizations to ensure alignment and effectiveness. This role plays a vital part in strengthening the organization’s market presence and reputation while supporting innovative healthcare solutions.
