Readymix Construction Machinery Limited, established in 2009, works in the manufacturing and trading of equipment used in concrete batching plants, with a strong focus on silo accessories and conveyor systems. Its services include technical guidance for equipment selection, site layout support, pricing assistance, foundation marking, delivery planning, safe transport, erection supervision, and long-term service support under the RMX brand. It also provides concrete plant layout consultancy and AMC services.
Role Overview
The Safety Officer / EHS Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy workplace at the factory by putting safety systems into practice, checking compliance, carrying out inspections, and encouraging strong safety awareness. The role is centered on reducing accidents, injuries, and occupational risks.
Experience and Qualifications
This position requires 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, or similar industrial settings. Suitable educational backgrounds include a diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial safety, environmental science, or a related discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Put workplace safety policies and procedures into action and ensure they are followed.
- Track adherence to legal safety requirements and internal company standards.
- Carry out routine safety inspections and audits across the site.
- Spot hazards in the workplace and suggest practical corrective measures.
- Examine accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases to determine causes.
- Document investigation findings and recommend steps to prevent repetition.
- Deliver safety induction sessions for new hires and contractors.
- Run toolbox talks, safety drives, and awareness initiatives.
- Develop emergency response plans and organize mock drills.
- Check correct PPE usage and oversee the condition of safety equipment.
Required Skills
- Understanding of occupational health and safety rules and practices.
- Ability to assess risks and identify hazards.
- Clear verbal communication and strong report drafting skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools.
Performance Measures
Success in the role will be measured through fewer workplace incidents, stronger safety audit results, higher training completion, and improved PPE compliance.
