Robotics Researcher

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Robotics Researcher to join our technical team remotely. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary range from $400,000 to $1,500,000. The role focuses on advancing robotics research by defining standards, innovating data collection strategies, and collaborating across teams to enhance robot learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and unify robotics data formats, schemas, and benchmark criteria to improve data accessibility and consistency.
• Create novel methodologies for data acquisition, including human demonstrations, teleoperation, and sensor data incorporation.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to synchronize model training data specifications.
• Assess datasets to ensure they are diverse, scalable, and impactful for improving robotic learning systems.
• Develop prototypes and tools that streamline and enhance data collection processes.
• Keep abreast of latest innovations in prominent robotics research labs and integrate best practices into existing workflows.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in robotics research and development, data engineering, or applied research fields.
• In-depth understanding of robotics data pipelines and multimodal data schemas such as RGB-D, IMU, pose estimation, and language representations.
• Proven expertise in robot perception, control systems, or data-driven learning techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related disciplines.
• Experience working with leading robotics or AI companies is advantageous, along with knowledge of embodied AI datasets or imitation learning frameworks.
