About the Role

Join PwC New Zealand as a Risk Services Analyst in Internal Audit based in Christchurch. This role offers you the chance to work closely with diverse clients to grasp their priorities and key risks, enhancing their control frameworks and operational efficiency. As part of a growing team, you will deliver internal audits and risk management assessments that drive impactful improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute internal audit assignments by following project plans; conduct audits, business process reviews, and evaluate financial and operational risks and controls.
  • Assess the adequacy and functioning of key controls, uncover gaps and emerging risks, and recommend practical improvements aligned with business needs.
  • Produce comprehensive, high-standard audit documentation and reports that clearly present findings and insights to both teams and clients.
  • Support project delivery by managing work plans, schedules, and quality standards within engagement teams.
  • Collaborate effectively within teams, sharing expertise and mentoring junior members as appropriate.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least two years of experience in internal audit or risk-related roles involving audit delivery, risk assessments, and process evaluations.
  • Strong written communication skills and proficiency in report writing to effectively convey risk issues, control weaknesses, and actionable recommendations.
  • Deep knowledge of risk management frameworks, internal control evaluation, and business process understanding.
  • Proficiency with audit software tools and technology to facilitate audit execution, documentation, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards and audit methodologies.
  • Confident oral communication and presentation abilities to articulate audit outcomes to stakeholders.
