Overview
The Retail Store Manager will be accountable for driving business operations and achieving the store's sales targets in alignment with Bata India Ltd's strategic goals, ensuring adherence to company policies and brand standards. This role entails full financial and operational responsibility for the store, including profit and loss management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of store administration to maximize customer satisfaction and optimize sales turnover.
- Lead, motivate, and coach the store team to attain operational excellence and foster a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Maintain and review company performance tools such as the Prosperity Card, Daily Mirror, and sales promoter progress reports to monitor and improve performance.
- Conduct regular daily and weekly meetings with store staff to communicate sales targets, review performance, share product knowledge, and plan stock clearance strategies.
- Manage merchandise by ensuring stock standards are met across categories, targeting an efficient stock turnover ratio as defined by company norms.
- Collaborate with the district manager to ensure timely and adequate stock supplies, and organize store resupply schedules.
- Optimize daily store operations by organizing sales promoter schedules, enforcing productivity standards, and maintaining business hours in compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Ensure the store environment is well-maintained, clean, and adheres to company ambiance guidelines; manage minor renovations and repairs as authorized.
- Supervise visual merchandising efforts to align with company display guidelines, implement monthly promotional themes, and ensure proper presentation of promotional and discounted merchandise.
- Manage store manpower to align with productivity requirements; ensure sales staff are professional, well-trained, punctual, and disciplined.
- Provide support and resources to sales personnel to enhance motivation and performance while expediently resolving any personnel grievances.

Compensation
The salary range offered for this position is between 25000 and 36000 Indian Rupees per month.
