Regional HR Operations Manager

Role overview

This role sits with a mature consumer-sector organisation that is looking to strengthen its people operations capability. Reporting to the Regional HR Director, the position is responsible for helping the business deliver HR services that are dependable, efficient, and compliant.

Key responsibilities

You will own the full HR operations cycle, covering employee lifecycle administration, payroll coordination, and compliance controls. The focus is on accurate processing, timely delivery, and maintaining a smooth employee experience.

In addition, you will run operational projects and digital improvements, set process standards, and drive ongoing enhancements that improve efficiency and support scale.

You will also serve as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, support governance and audit needs, and ensure HR policies, procedures, and documentation stay current and compliant.

Another important part of the role is leading and developing the team. You will set expectations, build accountability, and promote a service-oriented culture.

Requirements

The preferred candidate will have 10 to 12 years of HR experience, with deep exposure to HR operations and shared services.

Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, payroll, HR systems such as Workday, and employment regulations is required, along with prior people management experience.

This role calls for someone who can combine strategic oversight with hands-on delivery in a fast-moving environment, while also bringing strong stakeholder management, sound judgement, and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
