Role overview
This opportunity is for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support a recruiting team at a mission-focused organization in the publishing and education space. The position is fully remote and follows EST working hours. It is a 6-month contract with the possibility of being extended. Compensation is set at $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.
What you will do
- Deliver a smooth and positive experience for candidates at every stage of hiring.
- Arrange interviews across phone, video, and onsite formats without delay.
- Keep candidate information and recruiting updates accurate and current in Workday ATS, while following required compliance standards.
- Help prepare offers and coordinate background verification steps.
- Publish vacancies on job boards and other recruiting channels.
- Review applicants against hiring manager needs and conduct first-round screening conversations.
- Support recruiters with end-to-end hiring tasks and take ownership of a small requisition or sourcing load when needed.
- Identify passive talent through LinkedIn, networking groups, professional associations, and other creative sourcing methods.
- Work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to clarify hiring priorities and shape sourcing approaches.
- Provide general administrative support to the Talent Acquisition function throughout the recruitment cycle.
What you need
- A high school diploma plus at least 2 years of administrative experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field plus at least 1 year of administrative experience.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Well-developed organization and multitasking abilities in a busy environment.
- Careful attention to detail and solid follow-through.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and an applicant tracking system, with Workday experience preferred.
Preferred background
- Prior support experience in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources.
- Experience with recruiting coordination or candidate sourcing.
- Exposure to publishing, education, or a similar industry is advantageous.
