Its programs are designed to prepare students for professional work in a regulated setting. The college places strong emphasis on teaching quality, learner support, and ongoing improvement across its operations.
Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Auckland for a Quality Assurance Manager who will take ownership of the college’s quality assurance systems and processes. The role focuses on building, applying, and tracking quality frameworks that meet NZQA expectations as well as the institution’s internal standards.
Key Duties
- Develop and maintain quality assurance frameworks and procedures.
- Check academic and administrative processes to ensure they remain effective and compliant.
- Coordinate internal reviews and audits.
- Evaluate feedback and quality data, then turn findings into practical improvements.
- Prepare reports, records, and other quality-related documentation.
- Work closely with academic and support teams to maintain compliance and strengthen programme review activities.
- Support continuous improvement efforts across the college.
- Advise on policy matters and help staff understand quality requirements.
- Plan and deliver training related to quality assurance.
- Assist with external reviews, evaluations, and accreditation-related tasks.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant brings experience in quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory management, preferably within tertiary education or another tightly regulated environment. They should be confident handling policy work, process refinement, and review or audit activities. Strong analytical ability is needed to interpret data, produce reports, and guide decisions that improve performance. The role also calls for excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement skills across both academic and professional groups.
Additional Requirements
A relevant tertiary qualification in education, quality management, health sciences, or a related area is expected, and postgraduate study would be an advantage. Familiarity with NZQA frameworks, tertiary education regulations, and accreditation standards is beneficial, though a willingness to learn these quickly is also important. The position requires strong organisation, time management, attention to detail, integrity, and a demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practice in education.
