QA/QC Engineer

About the Role

Kaivanya Extrusion Technik is seeking a QA/QC Engineer based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to oversee and enhance production quality and planning. This role involves ensuring that manufacturing processes align with schedules and quality standards to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production planning and control according to established production schedules.
• Set and maintain quality control standards for products and processes.
• Continuously track production progress and ensure prompt delivery timelines are met.
• Identify any production delays and modify schedules to adhere to deadlines.
• Source, select, and procure necessary materials for manufacturing.
• Coordinate repair and routine maintenance activities for production equipment.
• Supervise junior staff members driving productivity and quality adherence.
• Ensure finished goods comply with quality benchmarks and customer specifications.
• Inspect incoming materials from vendors for compliance with drawing and quality standards.
• Perform quality control checks both inside the factory and at external sites.
• Conduct QC inspections on active orders and generate corresponding quality reports.
• Oversee QC for repair jobs and produce detailed reports accordingly.
• Create rough sketches on-site (factory and customer locations) and convert these into precise technical drawings required for production.
• Submit daily production and quality reports to management.
• Prepare and discuss daily team task lists each morning, allocate work across team members, and review progress via checklists in the evening.
• Provide morning status updates on each job per customer and per challan consistently.
• Maintain detailed records of the entire production process for tracking and auditing purposes.

Required Tools & Measurement Knowledge

• Proficient use of Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and Measuring Tape.
• Familiarity with Thread Gauge, ID/OD Caliper, and Vernier Height Gauge.
• Expertise in Angle Protector, Radius Gauge, Pin Gauge, Slip Gauge, and Height Gauge.
