QA Automation Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The role involves creating and maintaining automated test scripts, executing detailed test plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and sustain automated test scripts leveraging Selenium, Cypress, and Postman.
• Perform thorough test plan execution and analyze outcomes to maintain superior software quality.
• Work closely with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and foster a unified vision of quality.
• Enhance automation frameworks and refine testing strategies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
• Engage in code reviews and offer constructive critiques to maintain QA standards.
• Maintain precise documentation of test cases, test results, and reported issues to ensure effective team communication.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Highly proficient in Selenium, Postman, and Cypress for automated testing purposes.
• Strong understanding of QA automation concepts and experience building scalable test frameworks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile practices, and defect management methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within remote, diverse teams.
• Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving abilities dedicated to quality delivery.

Compensation and Commitment

This contract position offers compensation ranging from $30 to $80 per hour, with a workload commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week. The role is fully remote based in Canada.
