Public Relations Coordinator

Overview

This 12-month contract role is for a Communications Coordinator supporting a Streaming Communications team in New York, NY. It is a strong fit for professionals with at least 2 years of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations who want to build their career in the entertainment and streaming space.

Compensation

The position pays $34 per hour on a W2 basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with public relations campaigns and broader communications activities.
• Prepare press releases, media outreach pitches, and messaging documents.
• Monitor press coverage and compile reports on campaign performance.
• Identify journalists, relevant media contacts, and potential thought leadership opportunities through research.
• Keep project files, timelines, roadmaps, and communication assets organized and up to date.

Experience and Skill Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in public relations, communications, marketing, or a closely related discipline.
• Background in writing press materials and outreach pitches.
• Working knowledge of media databases such as Cision and/or Muck Rack.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Well-developed organization and time management skills.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
