Projects & Growth Lead – Retail

About the role

This is a commercial growth position within a fast-growing, multi-site consumer business in the retail space. It is well suited to someone who has spent time in central operations, restaurant excellence, or site performance leadership and wants to apply that experience in a different sector. Rather than joining a mature, fully formed process, you will help create the operating model that does not yet exist.

The business is scaling quickly, but the structure supporting that growth has not kept up. Strong ideas and successful pilots already exist, yet there is often a gap between proving something in one location and rolling it out across the wider estate. This role is designed to close that gap permanently.

What you will do

• Take ownership of a major revenue programme from start to finish, reviewing results location by location, removing blockers to growth, and improving performance across the estate.
• Lead new service categories from pilot stage through to full rollout while developing the operational playbook needed to support expansion.
• Improve commercial performance across the network by working on pricing, conversion, and package structure, and by identifying where revenue is being lost.
• Coordinate several growth projects at the same time, keeping marketing, operations, finance, and technology aligned without placing unnecessary pressure on site teams.

If successful, the next stage will involve taking on a more strategic growth remit as the estate continues to expand, helping shape which initiatives move forward rather than only managing delivery.

Ideal background

• Experience in central operations, restaurant/site excellence, or similar roles focused on commercial growth or rollout programmes in a multi-site consumer business.
• Background in QSR, hospitality, or franchise environments is especially relevant.
• Confidence managing several initiatives simultaneously while maintaining momentum.
• A practical understanding of margins, pricing, and conversion, not just project schedules.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both on-the-ground teams and senior leadership.
• Proven capability to deliver change across functions without relying on formal authority.

Bonus experience

• Multi-site or franchise rollout exposure.
• Experience in a private equity-backed or transformation setting.
• Experience leading a specialist team or network within an estate.
• Familiarity with site or clinic management software.
