Project Manager - Operational and Non-Financial Risk Change Management

Role Summary

This position focuses on leading organizational change management efforts related to operational and non-financial risk initiatives. The role entails managing all aspects of change management from start to finish within the risk programs and initiatives, ensuring compliance with established policies and governance standards.

Team and Collaboration

The role is positioned within a small, collaborative team of 4-5 members. While there is some teamwork involved, much of the work is conducted independently with close coordination among business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and own the full lifecycle of change management activities for assigned projects, delivering all relevant change and project documentation.
• Identify and evaluate risks related to strategic, regulatory, process, and technology changes.
• Ensure alignment and compliance with the bank's Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) framework, policies, and governance criteria.
• Incorporate risk and control considerations effectively within change designs and their execution.
• Collaborate with business, technology, compliance, resilience, and risk teams to provide insights and challenge across multiple simultaneous initiatives.
• Support risk governance processes, including approvals and reporting for major change initiatives.
• Manage project timelines to meet deadlines while balancing stakeholder priorities and expectations.
• Demonstrate adaptability by understanding complex risk topics and shifting requirements to support informed decision-making and stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Over 6 years of experience in project management.
• At least 4 years in change management.
• Experience in risk management practices.
• Post-secondary degree from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities, including effective presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of distilling complex information into clear and actionable messages.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Certification in Prosci Change Management.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Prior experience within the financial services industry.
• Experience delivering presentations and communications at the executive level.

Additional Information

• Interviews will include three rounds with hiring managers and team members and may be conducted remotely or in person.
• Hybrid work arrangement requiring presence in the office three times per week.
• Compensation ranges from $75 to $79 per hour.
