Project Overview

Concern Universal Ghana is launching a 30-month Microfinance project funded by the European Union/ACP, starting July 2012. The initiative will operate across six districts in the Brong Ahafo, Eastern, and Volta Regions, aiming to improve banking accessibility for the poor.

Role Purpose

The appointed Project Coordinator will manage, lead, and coordinate the daily implementation of the Banking for the Poor (B4P) project specifically in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans and budgets collaboratively with the Project Manager for successful project execution.
• Coordinate with field officers to ensure project objectives and deliverables are efficiently met.
• Prepare regular reports on project progress.
• Collaborate with the project team and partner organizations to establish effective monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems.
• Collect and report M&E data accurately.
• Assist in drafting proposals for new project initiatives.

Location

This position is based in Techiman, Brong Ahafo Region.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a development-related discipline or other pertinent fields.
• Minimum of two years experience with an international NGO in community development roles.
• Experience with community-based microfinance programs, especially Village Savings and Loan schemes, is a strong advantage.
