Opportunity Summary

As a Project Coordinator reporting to the Senior Project Manager for Special Projects, you will be part of a team managing multiple small-scale projects within Vancouver. Your role involves supporting project management efforts and facilitating smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with timely completion of critical project components.
• Manage processing of subcontracts, purchase orders, and progress claims for prime and subcontractors.
• Handle change orders, evaluating cost and schedule implications.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation accurately.
• Conduct regular site visits and attend site meetings as requested; document and distribute meeting minutes.
• Contribute to maintaining project profitability, schedule compliance, and client satisfaction.
• Promote and uphold a strong project safety culture.
• Coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate and timely project financial records.
• Review subcontractor payment applications thoroughly.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education focused on Construction Management or Engineering disciplines.
• Minimum of three years' experience in construction project management or field work preferred.
• Proficient understanding of construction drawings, contract administration, document control, scheduling tools, and change order processes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with Procore software is advantageous.
• Knowledgeable about construction specifications, methods, and procedures.
• Proven capability in building trustworthy relationships with clients, trades, and consultants.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
• Experience with MS Project or equivalent project management software.
• Aptitude for working collaboratively within a team environment.
