Overview
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) seeks a Program Coordinator for the Institute for Financial Literacy and Wellness (IFLW) to oversee the planning, organizing, and implementation of university-wide financial education initiatives. This role supports curriculum development, workshop facilitation, and program delivery to serve over 30,000 students.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage scheduling and operations of the Institute’s daily activities.
- Provide mentorship and supervision to Graduate Assistants and student workers.
- Coordinate with academic departments to integrate financial literacy into student development programs.
- Develop and organize educational materials, workshops, seminars, and micro-credential programs.
- Support grant research and compliance reporting to sustain program funding.
- Coordinate internal collaborations and act as a central communication hub.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Administration, Social Sciences or a related field is required.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in program coordination, student services, or instructional design; a Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
- Proven ability to coordinate educational programs serving over 500 participants annually.
- Experience with data collection and analysis for program assessment and improvements.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree focused on Higher Education Administration, Instructional Design, or Curriculum & Instruction.
- At least two years of experience in instructional design or curriculum development with a portfolio of educational content.
- Grant proposal writing and managing budgets above $50,000.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas for creating asynchronous or hybrid courses.
- Certification in financial counseling or education (e.g., AFC®, CFEI®).
