Organization Overview
Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners is dedicated to delivering innovative housing solutions and related services to California's most vulnerable populations, focusing particularly on individuals transitioning from homelessness or institutional settings. The organization develops, owns, and manages multifamily supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. It operates various supportive housing and clinical case management initiatives in partnership with developmental services, homeless services, veterans' services, and health care entities.
Operating throughout California with a passionate and growing team, Brilliant Corners seeks creative and driven individuals eager to contribute to meaningful change within a collaborative environment.
About the Program
The San Diego Flexible Housing Pool (FHP), managed by Brilliant Corners in collaboration with the Regional Taskforce on Homelessness (RTFH), Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans (MCPs), and Behavioral Health Services Department (BHS), is a countywide initiative addressing the housing needs of vulnerable residents. The program has two main branches: one funded by RTFH serving the wider community, and another serving Medi-Cal recipients with serious mental illness or substance use disorders, funded by MCPs and BHS. FHP focuses on housing navigation, landlord engagement, rental assistance, and tenancy supports to maintain stable housing and prevent homelessness recurrences. It leverages multiple funding sources to scale and adapt rapidly to community needs.
