About the role
TOPPAN Security is hiring Production Operators for its production facility in Galway. The role is suited to someone seeking a position with a strong work-life balance.
What you will do
- Run high-volume production equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions carefully.
- Work toward targets on a manual assembly line.
- Check that products meet the required quality standards.
- Contribute ideas and effort toward improving processes.
- Take part in problem-solving activities that help improve operations.
- Attend training sessions whenever needed.
- Help ensure customer needs are met within the required timeframe.
- Follow continuous improvement initiatives.
- Observe all environmental, health, and safety rules.
- Keep work areas and machinery clean and orderly.
- Support the Production Supervisor or Manager with additional tasks or projects.
- Handle other ad hoc duties and projects as they arise.
What the employer is looking for
- Experience as a production operator in a manufacturing setting is helpful, though not essential because full training will be provided.
- Basic maths ability.
- Ability to understand spoken and written English instructions.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Working pattern
The position follows a rotating shift schedule.
- Day shift: Thursday to Saturday, 07:30 to 19:40.
- Day shift: Monday to Wednesday, 07:30 to 19:40.
- Night shift: Thursday to Saturday, 19:30 to 07:40.
- Night shift: Monday to Wednesday, 19:30 to 07:40.
- After working 6 days or nights, there is a 7-day week off.
- The schedule includes 28 weeks off each year.
