About the Role
Join Primark as a Product Technologist on a six-month fixed-term contract where you'll play a key role in upholding the company's quality standards. Working onsite in Dublin, you'll ensure that products in the food and home categories consistently meet customer expectations while maintaining compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of Primark's Quality Strategy by ensuring products meet safety, legal, and functional standards.
- Focus heavily on food safety compliance and continuous product approval processes, including labelling, certification, and traceability checks.
- Analyze testing outcomes and quality data to guide well-informed commercial decisions in line with industry benchmarks.
- Conduct risk assessments and competitive benchmarking to maintain high quality and performance benchmarks.
- Work closely with buying, compliance, and sourcing teams to address quality issues and promote continuous improvements.
- Monitor product returns and supplier performance, identify risks, and implement corrective measures.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships, fostering clear communication, training, and quality guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of technical quality standards, legal requirements, and risk evaluation to ensure product safety and compliance.
- Sharp analytical skills with the ability to assess product testing data, benchmark against competitors, and make commercially viable recommendations.
- Experience coordinating with suppliers and sourcing teams to drive quality enhancements and process efficiency.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to effectively engage stakeholders and encourage continuous improvement initiatives.
- Passion for training and coaching teams to enhance quality outcomes, including contributions to quality academy efforts.
- Proactive problem solver capable of identifying trends, resolving issues swiftly, and improving customer satisfaction while reducing product returns.
