Role overview
This position is centered on independently driving product development for the Actuators business unit, from early concept work through to series launch. The role also carries responsibility for the group-wide development process and for ensuring strong product design, market fit, quality validation, and efficient industrialization.
Responsibilities
- Manage product development projects for the Actuators business unit independently, starting with the first idea and continuing through to production release.
- Take ownership of the development process across the entire group.
- Ensure product design aligns with market needs, product quality, validation evidence, and efficient mass-production methods.
- Support products already in series production and continuously improve them in a systematic way.
- Resolve design weaknesses identified during qualification, validation, or customer complaint handling.
- Evaluate whether current market trends and emerging technologies can be applied to BURGER GROUP products.
Requirements
- Completed university or applied sciences degree in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, mechatronics, or plastics engineering.
- Practical CAD experience, including design work and drawing derivation, ideally with SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of how mechanical functions interact with firmware-based functionality.
- Knowledge of APQP development processes and hands-on experience with FMEA.
- Ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and as a collaborative team member.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
