Role Overview

As the inaugural product designer at Axle, you will elevate the company's design standards across all initiatives. The company creates energy products ranging from accessible mass-market options to advanced technologies tailored for early adopters. Axle values innovation and customer experience in solving unique, complex challenges without established solutions.

Working within small, autonomous interdisciplinary teams that include engineers and product managers, you will contribute a vital design perspective. Your focus will include understanding users, steering strategic design decisions, and advocating for customer needs throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze user challenges and craft superior experiences to address them.
• Develop scalable and strategic design systems incorporating both visual tools and code to accelerate high-quality software delivery.
• Enhance the company’s user research culture by closely examining how customers interact with Axle’s B2C and B2B2C products.
• Direct the creation and evolution of Axle’s visual identity through mediums like web design, animation, and video content.
• Collaborate with international clients to improve their user experience.
