Role Overview
The Procurement Specialist position is a full-time role based primarily in Hisar with the flexibility of working remotely on some days. Responsibilities involve overseeing the entire procurement cycle—initiating and monitoring purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring timely receipt of goods and services. The specialist will assess supplier performance, benchmark quotes, and partake in contract negotiations to ensure best value in terms of price, quality, and contract terms. Routine duties include maintaining meticulous procurement records, analyzing purchase data, managing inventory demands, and collaborating closely with internal teams to fulfill sourcing requirements. Compliance with company procurement policies and ethical standards is mandatory.
Key Qualifications
- Proven expertise in managing comprehensive purchasing procedures and vendor communications.
- Experience in handling purchase orders accurately including documentation and progress tracking.
- Ability to evaluate suppliers based on quality, dependability, price, and adherence to organizational standards.
- Skilled negotiator capable of securing advantageous contract conditions and managing supplier relations.
- Strong analytical abilities for reviewing expenditure patterns, comparing vendor proposals, and cost optimization.
- Familiarity with MS Excel or specialized procurement software is advantageous, alongside excellent communication skills, close attention to detail, and adaptability to independent and collaborative hybrid work modes.
- Educational background such as a diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, or similar disciplines, with previous procurement or purchasing experience preferred.
