Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated individual to assume complete responsibility for procurement and inventory management within our organization. This role requires managing all aspects of purchasing and controlling stock levels to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and monitor purchase orders to guarantee timely procurement.
- Verify goods received against orders accurately and maintain detailed batch and expiry information for each product.
- Oversee distribution processes efficiently.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Perform reconciliation between inventory systems ERPNext and accounting software Zoho Books, presenting findings to the board.
- Maintain comprehensive data records and generate relevant reports.
- Manage existing tools, recommend necessary upgrades, and guarantee data integrity and reliability.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related area.
- At least 2 years experience in purchasing, inventory control, or stock management roles.
- Possession of a CIPS qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Applicants with substantial applicable experience but lacking formal qualifications will also be considered.
Skills and Competencies
- Hands-on expertise with ERPNext focused on procurement and stock functionalities.
- Working knowledge of Zoho Books for managing bills, purchase orders, and vendor account reconciliations.
- Proven experience in conducting physical stock counts, identifying discrepancies, and investigating their origins.
- High attention to detail and ability to enforce compliance with processes among suppliers and team members.
