Role Summary

The Principal General Manager (GM) serves as the highest-level client-facing leader within Tribe AI. This role assumes full ownership of complex and significant enterprise accounts, overseeing commercial success and delivery standards. Beyond managing key accounts, this role involves enhancing and expanding the GM function itself through coaching, system development, and setting internal standards.

Principal GMs balance hands-on client engagement—remaining closely involved with accounts—with broader responsibilities such as mentoring other GMs and influencing organizational practices. They act as trusted advisors to clients at the C-suite level while driving superior outcomes across multi-year partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Tribe AI's most critical, high-value enterprise relationships end to end, including deal origination, negotiation, portfolio health, delivery collaboration, and sustained expansion efforts.
• Coach and develop GMs on client management, deal strategy, and engagement skills to foster autonomy and effectiveness, holding accountability for their growth without direct managerial authority.
• Contribute to strengthening the GM team infrastructure by developing playbooks, onboarding processes, deal frameworks, account review protocols, and defining engagement quality standards.
• Work closely with company founders and leadership on strategic initiatives such as partnership development, market positioning, and capability building, holding a decision-making role in business direction.

Candidate Profile and Experience

• 8 to 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise consulting, service delivery, account management, or complex solutions, with substantial direct accountability for client relationships and business results at scale.
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of high-value clients while successfully mentoring and developing other team members.
• Demonstrated success in creating lasting organizational impact beyond personal responsibilities by building teams, practices, hiring frameworks, or standards.
• Credibility with C-level executives across multifaceted organizations, capable of influence without authority and constructive challenge.
• Experience in talent recruitment, interviewing, and calibration, ideally for roles akin to this one.
• Strong knowledge of the AI industry with a genuine interest in its impact on enterprise operations; technical expertise is not mandatory but required to advise senior leaders effectively.

Compensation

This position offers a salary range between $300,000 and $415,000 per year.
